Small Group Needed!
Working Breakfast with Economy, Trade and Rural Affairs Committee
Good Afternoon Everyone,

Next week, MWT have a meeting with the Economy, Trade and Rural Affairs Committee, who will be visiting Mid Wales. To make the most of this opportunity, we have been asked to organise a small group of businesses for a working breakfast at Lake Vyrnwy Hotel on Thursday, 3rd October. It's crucial that we discuss the cumulative effects policies have had on our rural tourism businesses.

This is a chance for a small group of businesses to share personal experiences and highlight specific challenges impacting our businesses and communities.

Senedd Committees play a key role in scrutinising Welsh Government policies so this is an important and influential group and a real opportunity for our independent rural businesses to be heard.

Statutory registration (which seems to have evolved into 'licensing') will be coming to this committee for scrutiny so it will be important to voice any concerns and associated challenges we can foresee in implementation, requirements, costs, enforcement etc

The committee will also be hearing about additional issues affecting the rural economy, including farming, local communities, and town centers. While tourism tax won't be directly scrutinised by this committee it will still remain an important topic.

This is our opportunity to engage directly with the committee on these important matters. If any business is interested in attending and help to represent our sector please contact me directly at zoe@mwtcymru.co.uk

I will need to get across a final list of businesses this week so please let me know if you are interested in attending and supporting MWT's efforts at this event.

Many Thanks!

Zoe
